START!

Today’s theme is START. We want all the campers to have a great week at camp. Starting today! We asked them during their small group time this morning to write down what they want to do this week. We hope that they will all learn new skills, but we especially want them to learn about Jesus.

So far all the campers have been having a great time! Last night they all had orientation together but, (besides that time) the Pathfinders, Adventurers, and Triple W campers all have separately planned activities. Last night the Pathfinder boys played some Frisbee Football! Then they had chapel. The Recaldes, missionaries to Paraguay, are the speakers this week for Pathfinders.

Today the Pathfinders have already learned new skills, including tipping over a canoe and then flipping it right-side-up again (while also getting all the water out)! Also, this morning they did some team building activities. Then as cabins, they did activities together, such as archery, banana boating, and paintball.

The Adventurers had a great time in chapel last night. Carol Rushton, who has spoken at Adventurers for many years, is back again for the week! She led the girls in a few games and then spoke to them about the parable of the Farmer and the Seeds, found in Matthew 13. Today after morning chapel and small groups the girls were able to learn some new skills during their skill builder time. Soccer, swimming, and volleyball seemed to be popular choices today! After skill builder time they had a scavenger hunt all over camp!

The Triple W girls had their rider evaluation and barn tour last night. They had stretching and exercise time to finish off their night. Exercising and stretching will help prevent the girls from getting sore from riding horses. Today, the Triple W girls learned how to groom their horses! They also had some team building time and later they will learn the choreography for the parent show on Saturday.

This week is going to be so much fun! Pray that all of the campers will not only learn new skills but also learn more about Jesus. We want them all to have a great time at camp, but most importantly we want them to learn about Jesus and build a relationship with Him!
