Rodeo Fun!

Tuesday may have been plagued by heavy rain in the afternoon, but we came back strong here at camp. God showed us what He could do by bringing out the sunshine and the truly beautiful weather before dinner, just in time for a cookout! He continues to bless the campers and staff daily. My heart filled with joy yesterday as I heard one Pathfinder say, "This is going to be a great week. I can just feel it!"

In the evening, Adventurers and Triple W-I girls came together for a little "Wild Wild West". A big thanks to all the wranglers (Caleigh, Riley, Abby, and Brianna) who did such a lovely job putting together the Rodeo! There were three different events: pole bending, ring lancing, and key hole racing. Every horse and rider did exceptionally. The pole bending was a favorite to watch. They had a great time cheering on each horse! In between each event, a mini-game took place. Little girls "riding" broomstick horses might be one of the cutest things I've ever seen.

During the rodeo, the Pathfinders made their way down to the beach to play Greasy Watermelon. (It wasn't on the schedule originally, but they had been pleading with Olen!) Today, the boys will spend most of their time down on the waterfront, banana boating, swimming, and canoe tipping. For dinner tonight, Pathfinders will be canoeing across the lake! Please pray for their safety.

Adventurers are taking the day to prepare for Pretty Pretty Princess! I can't wait! Check back soon for more information!
