Monday!

Today is the first full day of our third week of camp! This week our sessions are Discoverers (6th-8th grade girls), Roughriders (3rd-5th grade boys), and Triple W (6th-8th grade girls).

Today the Discoverers have been banana boating and learning new skill such as canoeing, archery, and paintball. They also started an awesome craft, that they will finish later this week! Last night they had camp orientation, and then the first chapel session with their speaker Paula Hendricks. She wrote the book Confessions of a Boy-Crazy Girl. You can check it out here http://paulawrites.com/book/. We are looking forward to what she is going to be teaching the girls this week!

The Roughriders have also had a busy day and a half! Last night before orientation they had a campers vs. counselors soccer game! Than after orientation and chapel they played Night Hunt! A game where glow stick are hidden all around camp, and they have to search for them. This morning they played Flag Tag and had a blast! After the game they went to chapel and heard their speaker, Tim Gioia speak about starting the week strong! You can check out his twitter here https://twitter.com/TheRealTimGioia. This afternoon they had skill builders. They were able to choose between a few different activities such as archery, soccer, carpetball, and slacklining. Each day they are able to do something different. Our goal is for each camper to learn something new this week!

The Triple W girls are also off to a great start. Last night they had their rider evaluations and barn tour. They are going to be attending the same chapel as the Discoverers so they will be able to hear from Paula as well. This morning they had their first horsemanship training session, and after lunch they went on a banana boat ride!

We are all so pumped for this week! Please keep us all in your prayers. As much fun as this week is going to be, many of the counselors have been counseling for three or more weeks! Ask God to give them extra energy and strength! Even though we are on week three, this is the only week of camp for many of the campers, and we want to make it as special and awesome as possible!
