TW Jr-1 Half Way!

Triple W Jr-1 has been going well! Its amazing that the week is already halfway over! The girls have already done so much! While they spend the majority of their time as the horses barn, they have also been able to go on a banana boat ride, spend time at the beach swimming, and participate in team building at the challenge course.

First thing every morning the girls have a morning run and then spend some time stretching. Running and stretching prevents them from getting sore muscles from riding all day. After their morning exercises it breakfast time! Everyone agrees that breakfast at Phantom Ranch is awesome!

After breakfast they have “God Time” and then they head up to the barn for horsemanship training. Training has been going very well and the girls have already learned so much! They don't just learn how to ride but also how to groom and tack their horses and the anatomy of the horse and tack.

In the afternoon they have a group activity. On Monday they went banana boating, and on Tuesday they did some team building in the challenge course. Today the schedule was switched up. They canoed and swam this morning and have horsemanship training this afternoon. After these activities the girls have “Camper Choice” until dinner. During this time they have the choice to go swimming, boating, play carpetball, or many participate in many other fun activities.

After dinner the girls have chapel which is led by Katelyn Olszak and Kacie O’Connell. Since there are only six girls, they have been able to have discussion time as well. Monday night they talked about Noah and following in the plans that God has for us, and on Tuesday night they talked about the importance of making good friends who are not only friends but life teammates. After chapel they head back to the barn for Drill Team practice for the Parent Show on Saturday.

They end their day with stretches and quiet time in their cabin. They also have had a few night activities. Last night they had root beer floats and tonight they are going to have a hayride and, if possible, do some stargazing.

Pray for the girls as they finish the week! They still have so many more exciting things to learn and do!
