Pathfinders Update

Yesterday was special for the Pathfinders boys. They had an exciting opportunity to cook their dinners over open fires on each of our three pits. Each cabin went to a different fire pit and cooked with Olen, Dan, or Grant Gunderson. They made "Hobo Dinners" using ground beef, potatoes, carrots, green peppers, broccoli, and other yummy ingredients. It was a good, hands-on way for them to learn about cooking outdoors. The boys also tried their hand at long range archery yesterday afternoon. Chapel was held around the campfire  last night; thanking God for the outstanding weather!

Andy Douglas, a local police officer and former staff member at Phantom Ranch, stopped by the Oaks Chapel last night to share his testimony with the Pathfinders, talk about his work as an officer, and how he incorporates his faith into his job every day. The boys even got to see his equipment belt and all the gadgets he uses!

This morning, the boys ate breakfast up at the bonfire again. Grant cooked up some delicious food from what I heard. Pathfinders will head out up to Paintball during Camper Choice time, and participate in an Egg Relay after dinner! Keep praying for this wonderful group of boys! God is not limited by time, He is still moving and working in their hearts. Join along side of us as we pray for their counselors as well. Check back soon!
