Adventurers Update: Pretty, Pretty Princess

Last night was the "13th annual" Pretty, Pretty Princess competition. On Monday, each cabin was given a bed sheet and a bag of decorations and random items. They had to make a princess dress out of the stuff they were given for one of their counselors to wear. Each cabin would come up with a theme to base their dress around. Also, each princess would be escorted by a prince who would also have to dress to the theme that their princesses cabin had chosen. It was also the prince's job to figure out their princesses transportation to Pretty, Pretty Princess.
The girls worked super hard on their dresses. The judges judged the princesses on a few things: transportation, the dress, the answers to the questions that they were asked, and cabin participation. In 3rd place was Texan, with Princess Crystal Clause. She looked stunning, and sparkly! In 2nd place was Bar-M, with Princess Little Miss 50's. She looked cute in her vintage poodle skirt, which had a hand drawn poodle on it. Amazing! In 1st place was Bronco Buster, with Princess Dragon Fly. She look absolutely beautiful, and so did all her "caterpillars." Every single cabin did a fabulous job at making their counselors look like princesses.
It's not just the counselors who are princesses. It's all of us. God is our King, and He is our Father. Each one of us are His princesses. This is the main thing that the girls learned by participating in the competition with their counselors.

Princess Mockingjay from Circle R, Princess Anemone from Dry Gulch, Princess Dragon Fly from Bronco Buster, Princess Crystal Clause from Texan, Princess Little Miss 50's from Bar-M, and Princess Silver Flake Frost from Lazy Q

Later tonight (Thursday) the girls will be doing "Sing Star." Each cabin was given one of the Fruits of the Spirit to focus on and rewrite the lyrics to a song based on the Fruit of the Spirit that they were given. They will be performing their song at a "Pajama Party." The Pajama Party sounds like a ton of fun! At this party they will also be watching a movie and eating a snack all in the comfort of their P.J's and they air conditioning of the chapel. Can't wait to see what the girls come up with tonight! - Sami xx (:
